Springtime Daffodils Punch Art

Inspiration really is all around us. So when I got told the brief for this Blog Hop was Spring, all I had to do was take a look out of my windows and I knew just what I was going to create.

In my little area of North Wales, the Daffodils have been in bloom for a few weeks now, and I've had them dotted around my windowsills beckoning the return of the new season.

In this project I've created my own version of the symbolic Springtime flower, using the Bow Builder Punch and the Festive Flower Builder Punch.

Here are all the punched parts you'll need with a pictorial on how to assemble the sections. A good tool to use when shaping the petals is a Bone Folder. The card stock colours I have used are Daffodil Delight (of course!) and Old Olive.

I've used my Daffodil as the main embellishment for this cute little Petite Cafe Gift Bag.

The other elements of the project are: SAB Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum, Itty Bitty Accents Flower Punch, Basic Pearls, Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch and SAB Party Pants Stamp Set.

In the centre of the Daffodil, I've also used a 1/2" Circle Punch of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper as a subtle finishing touch.

The sentiment has been heat embossed using Black Embossing Powder.

Punch Art projects really do set your imagination free, and the more you play around with shapes and patterns, the more creative you become.

I really do hope you have enjoyed seeing this cute little project, and if you decide to have a go at creating your own, I would love to see your version.

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Crafty Cupcakes Spring Blog Hop.
